DID YOU KNOW there are children in the Cartersville City Schools who go home on Fridays longing for Monday to come so they can eat a good meal. They have no idea if there will be food at home to eat on the weekends.
There is a church here in Cartersville that particpates in a program to help feed these children on the weekends. It is called "Backpack Buddies" run out of the Savior of All Lutheran Church on Indian Trails. They collect specific food items, healthy for kids but still enjoyable. These items are packed up in a backpack and given to these needy children on Fridays for the weekend. They look like everyone elses backpacks so the other children are none the wiser.
Please consider helping this great need in our community.

***Everything must be easy open as some of these families have no electricity or can openers.
