Name Tag Pattern
The official EVQG block (and logo) is the friendship star. It consists of a nine patch design with 4 half-square-triangles, twisting around to form a star.
Popularized in the late 1800's, a friendship star quilt was made for a woman by her friends. Usually done as a group effort, and often in secret, each friend or relative created one block with their name embroidered in the center. We feel this makes the friendship star the perfect representation of our guild and ideal to use as a name tag since that was its original purpose!
EVQG doesn't require a name tag but we would appreciate it if you wore one. If you already have one, you're all set- but if you don't, or you'd like to make one specific to our guild, here is some inspiration to get you sewing...
